SOAR Trading Competition — Official Rules
Last updated: August 19, 2026
These are the Official Rules for the SOAR Trading Competition. They are the agreement between you and SOAR. Read them before you enter.
1.At a glance
These Official Rules govern the SOAR Trading Competition (the "Competition"). The list below restates the claims made in the Competition's promotional materials.
That list is a summary. It is not the agreement. If anything in it, or in any advertisement, graphic, social post, screenshot, or email, conflicts with the rest of these Official Rules, the rest of these Official Rules control.
Some promotional materials for this Competition described September 30 as a payout date. That is not correct. September 30, 2026 is when the Competition closes, not when Prizes are paid. Every Prize, weekly and grand, is paid after the Final Close. These Official Rules control.
No statement by any SOAR employee, contractor, or SOAR social account changes these Official Rules. Only a published update to this page does.
- Format — 6 weeks. Paper trading. X account connected to the SOAR app.
- Entry — Joining the waitlist, or through an invite code from an existing SOAR user.
- Scoring — Ranked on total portfolio P&L dollar amount.
- Leaderboard — Live overall standings, cumulative across all 6 weeks. Weekly standings are scored separately, week by week.
- Prize pool — $10,000.
- Closes — September 30, 2026. Trading stops at the Final Close.
- Weekly prize — Awarded at each of the 6 weekly closes to the top trader that week. Every week starts fresh. At least $250 each.
- Grand prize — Awarded to the top 3 in the Final Standings. First place is at least $3,000.
- Prizes — The $10,000 pool covers every prize, weekly and grand. Nothing is paid before the Competition closes.
- Daily claim — No starting balance. Claim up to $500 of virtual balance each calendar day.
- Invite bonus — Each invite adds $100 to what you can claim per day, up to 10 invites, for a maximum of $1,500 a day.
2.Sponsor and these Official Rules
The Competition is sponsored and administered by the operator of the SOAR App and trysoar.com ("SOAR", "we", "us"). Send all notices under these Official Rules to info@trysoar.com. SOAR will provide the sponsoring entity's legal name and a mailing address for legal notices on written request to info@trysoar.com.
These Official Rules are a binding agreement between you and SOAR. Entering means you accept them in full. If you do not accept them, do not enter.
These Official Rules control. Every other description of the Competition is a summary: promotional graphics, social posts, ads, emails, and in-app screens. Where a summary conflicts with these Official Rules, these Official Rules govern. SOAR may correct typographical, display, scoring, and programming errors at any time.
These Official Rules apply in addition to the SOAR Terms of Service at trysoar.com/terms and the Privacy Policy at trysoar.com/privacy. On a subject specific to the Competition — scoring, invite bonuses, prohibited conduct, disqualification, leaderboard certification, and prizes — these Official Rules control for the Competition only. On everything else, the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy control.
SOAR decides all questions of entry, eligibility, scoring, and prizes. Those decisions are final and binding, to the extent the law allows.
3.Definitions
Capitalized terms have the meanings given below. Terms defined elsewhere in these Official Rules keep the meaning given where they appear. Headings are for reference only.
"You" and "your" mean an Entrant. "We", "us" and "our" mean SOAR.
All times and dates in these Official Rules are stated in Pacific Time, meaning Pacific Daylight Time while daylight saving is in effect and Pacific Standard Time otherwise. All dates are in 2026 unless stated otherwise. "$" and "dollars" mean U.S. dollars. Amounts of Virtual Balance are simulated dollars and are identified as such.
SOAR — the sponsor and administrator of the Competition, and the operator of the SOAR App and trysoar.com. Contact: info@trysoar.com.
SOAR App — the SOAR application in which the Competition is played, in both its mobile and web versions. Trading in either version counts, and both are scored in one Competition Account.
Official Rules — this document, published at trysoar.com/competition. That address is the canonical location of these Official Rules, and is the address shown on the Competition's promotional materials. The earlier address trysoar.com/comp redirects to this page.
Promotional Materials — any advertisement, graphic, social post, email, screenshot, or other material describing the Competition that is not published on this page.
Competition — the SOAR Trading Competition, operated by SOAR and governed by these Official Rules. SOAR operates the Competition as a contest of skill, as described in "No purchase necessary; no consideration".
Competition Period — the period beginning August 20, 2026 at 12:00:00 a.m. Pacific Time and ending at the Final Close. The Competition Period runs six (6) weeks.
Final Close — the moment the Competition Period ends and final standings are measured, on September 30, 2026 at 11:59:59 p.m. Pacific Time. Trading for the Competition stops at the Final Close. The Final Close is not the Prize payment date; Prizes are paid after it under "Prize payment and taxes".
Final Standings — the Leaderboard after the Final Close, as certified by SOAR. Final Standings determine the Grand Prize. The live Leaderboard does not.
Business Day — Monday through Friday, excluding U.S. federal holidays.
Entrant — an individual who meets the eligibility requirements in these Official Rules and has completed a valid Entry.
Entry — every step required to take part: holding an eligible SOAR account that has been granted access to the SOAR App, opened by joining the SOAR waitlist, by redeeming an Invite Code, or by entering by email; connecting an X account to that SOAR account; reposting the announcement post or entering by email instead; and accepting these Official Rules. Joining the waitlist alone does not complete an Entry. You are an Entrant, and you appear on the Leaderboard, only once SOAR has granted your account access to the SOAR App and the other two steps are complete.
Invite Code — the referral code or link issued free to an existing SOAR user, through which a new user opens a SOAR account and enters the Competition. The SOAR App is in private beta, so an Invite Code is one route to access, not a guarantee of it.
Connected X Account — the X account you link to your SOAR account.
Competition Account — the SOAR account in which you hold Virtual Balance and Positions for the Competition, and against which your P&L is measured.
Virtual Balance — the simulated funds credited to your Competition Account, denominated in simulated U.S. dollars. It consists of the Daily Claims credited to your Competition Account and the results of your Paper Trading. It has no cash value. It cannot be withdrawn, transferred, sold, or redeemed, and SOAR does not hold it on deposit for you.
Daily Claim — Virtual Balance an Entrant claims in the SOAR App on a calendar day, up to that Entrant's Daily Claim Allowance. There is no starting balance in this Competition. Every Entrant begins with a Virtual Balance of zero and builds it only by claiming. A Daily Claim is not credited automatically: you must claim it. An allowance not claimed on a calendar day does not carry over and cannot be claimed later.
Daily Claim Allowance — the most an Entrant may claim on a single calendar day. It is five hundred simulated dollars ($500) for every Entrant, plus one hundred simulated dollars ($100) for each qualifying invite that Entrant has earned, up to ten (10) qualifying invites. The maximum Daily Claim Allowance is one thousand five hundred simulated dollars ($1,500) per calendar day. Waitlist Entrants and Invite Code Entrants receive the same $500 base allowance.
Calendar Day — a day running from 12:00:00 a.m. to 11:59:59 p.m. Pacific Time. Every claim window in this Competition is measured in Pacific Time.
Paper Trading — simulated trading conducted only with Virtual Balance. No real money is deposited, transferred, won, lost, or at risk, and no security, token, or other asset is bought, sold, or transferred.
Synthetic Market — a prediction market listed in the SOAR App on whether a named private company's valuation reaches a stated threshold.
Position — an open or closed simulated interest in an Eligible Instrument held in your Competition Account.
Eligible Instrument — an instrument whose activity counts toward P&L: Synthetic Markets, MultiStrike baskets, and Survival Ladder rungs, in each case traded with Virtual Balance in the SOAR App. Indexes are not tradeable and do not count. Real-money activity, including Spot, does not count toward P&L in any circumstance. If SOAR lists a new simulated instrument during the Competition Period, SOAR will state on this page whether it is an Eligible Instrument before it counts toward scoring.
Closing Value — the value assigned to an open Position at a Close for scoring, determined under "Scoring".
Account Value — the total value of your Competition Account at a given moment: your uncommitted Virtual Balance plus every open Position at Closing Value.
P&L — your total portfolio profit and loss for a period, in simulated U.S. dollars. It equals your Account Value at the applicable Close minus your baseline. Your baseline is the total of every Daily Claim credited to your Competition Account up to that Close. Claimed Virtual Balance is buying power, not profit.
Leaderboard — the ranking published in the SOAR App that orders Entrants by cumulative P&L across the Competition Period. It updates on a live basis, may lag your Competition Account, may contain errors, and is provisional. SOAR may restate it. It is not final until SOAR certifies the Final Standings.
Invite Bonus — an increase of one hundred simulated dollars ($100) in your Daily Claim Allowance for each qualifying invite, up to ten (10) qualifying invites. It raises what you may claim each calendar day; it is not a one-time credit. It is not cash, is not a Prize, and is not paid from the Prize Pool.
Weekly Close — 11:59:59 p.m. Pacific Time on each of August 26, September 2, September 9, September 16, September 23, and September 30, 2026. There are six Weekly Closes. The sixth Weekly Close is the Final Close.
Weekly Period — each of the six consecutive weeks of the Competition Period. Week 1 begins when the Competition Period begins and ends at the first Weekly Close. Each later Weekly Period begins the instant the previous Weekly Close passes and ends at the next Weekly Close.
Weekly P&L — your profit and loss for a single Weekly Period, in simulated dollars. It equals your Account Value at that Weekly Close, minus your Account Value at the start of that Weekly Period, minus every Daily Claim credited to you during that Weekly Period. If your Entry completes part-way through a Weekly Period, your starting figure for that week is zero. Weekly P&L resets at every Weekly Close: what you made or lost in an earlier week does not carry into a later one.
Weekly Standings — the ranking at a Weekly Close, as certified by SOAR, ordering Entrants by Weekly P&L for that Weekly Period alone. Weekly Standings are separate from the Leaderboard, which stays cumulative and determines the Grand Prizes.
Weekly Prize — the cash Prize awarded to the single highest-ranked eligible Entrant in each certified Weekly Standings. One Weekly Prize is awarded at each Weekly Close, for six in total. No Weekly Prize is less than two hundred fifty dollars ($250). An Entrant may win more than one Weekly Prize, and a Weekly Prize does not affect eligibility for a Grand Prize.
Prize — a cash award paid by SOAR under these Official Rules. There are two kinds: Weekly Prizes, awarded on the Weekly Standings, and Grand Prizes, awarded on the Final Standings. There are no participation Prizes, and no Prize of either kind is paid before the Final Close.
Grand Prize — the cash Prize awarded to each of the top three (3) Entrants in the Final Standings. The first place Grand Prize is not less than three thousand dollars ($3,000).
Prize Pool — ten thousand dollars ($10,000) in cash. The Prize Pool covers every Prize in this Competition, weekly and grand, and is the most SOAR will pay in total. Subject to the minimum amounts stated for a Weekly Prize and for first place, SOAR determines how the Prize Pool is allocated between Weekly Prizes and Grand Prizes, and among first, second, and third place, and publishes the full allocation on this page with the certified Final Standings. If no eligible Entrant qualifies for a Prize at a given Close, or if a Prize is forfeited and no substitute Winner can be verified, the unawarded amount is not redistributed and stays with SOAR.
Winner — an Entrant that SOAR has certified as entitled to a Prize, after checking eligibility and compliance with these Official Rules.
Released Parties — as defined in "Release of claims".
4.Competition Period
The Competition runs for six consecutive weeks and ends at the Final Close on September 30, 2026. Each of the six weeks is a Weekly Period ending at a Weekly Close, and a Weekly Prize is awarded at each one to the Entrant with the highest Weekly P&L for that week alone. Every week starts fresh: a strong week does not carry forward, and a bad week does not follow you. The Grand Prizes are separate and are decided once, at the Final Close, on cumulative P&L across the whole Competition Period. The two are scored side by side from the same trading.
The Competition Period starts on August 20, 2026 at 12:00:00 a.m. Pacific Time and ends at the Final Close on September 30, 2026 at 11:59:59 p.m. Pacific Time.
The Leaderboard is cumulative across all six weeks, from the Competition-start snapshot through the Final Close, and determines the Final Standings. The Weekly Standings are scored separately, week by week, and do not affect the Leaderboard.
SOAR's servers and internal records are the official timekeeping and record-keeping devices. Your device clock, your screenshots, and third-party timestamps do not control.
The Competition Period ends at the stated time even if a market has not settled. Open Positions are valued under "Scoring".
If a platform outage or market data failure materially affects the Competition, SOAR may adjust the Competition Period's start or end time and will post the adjustment on this page.
Every Prize, weekly and grand, is paid after the Final Close, once verification and tax documentation are complete. Winning a Weekly Prize does not entitle you to payment during the Competition Period. See "Prize payment and taxes".
5.Eligibility
You must meet all of the following when you enter, and keep meeting them until the Final Close and until any Prize is paid.
Entry is personal to you and cannot be transferred or assigned. SOAR may ask you to prove any eligibility requirement at any time. If you do not, SOAR may disqualify you.
- Be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live if that is higher.
- Be a legal resident of, and physically located in, a jurisdiction that is not on the Restricted List in "Where the Competition is offered". The Competition is void where prohibited or restricted.
- Not be an employee, officer, director, contractor, agent, or representative of SOAR or of any company involved in running, judging, fulfilling, or promoting the Competition. The same exclusion covers investors in SOAR, advisors to SOAR, and members of SOAR's board or any advisory board. It also covers your immediate family — spouse, parent, child, sibling, and their spouses — and anyone living in your household, related or not.
- Not have access to non-public information about Competition scoring, market settlement, or Leaderboard data.
- Hold one SOAR account and enter once, by one method. One Entrant per person. Entering by email as well as in the SOAR App does not give you a second Entry.
- Keep your SOAR account in good standing under the SOAR Terms of Service for the whole Competition Period.
6.One entrant, one account
Multiple SOAR accounts, multiple X accounts, shared or co-managed accounts, entries made by or for another person, and entries created by script or bot are prohibited. Any of them is grounds for disqualification and forfeiture of any Prize, before or after payment.
You are responsible for everything done on your account, including trades placed by anyone you give access to. Do not share credentials. Sharing credentials does not excuse conduct prohibited by these Official Rules. It is your violation.
7.No purchase necessary; no consideration
No purchase is necessary to enter or win. Entry is free. There is nothing to buy. No purchase, payment, deposit, subscription, or spend improves your chances, and SOAR accepts none in connection with the Competition. There is no entry fee and no stake. No paid SOAR feature affects trading performance, scoring, or Leaderboard position during the Competition Period. If SOAR launches a paid feature during the Competition Period, it is excluded from the Competition and confers no scoring advantage.
All trading in the Competition is Paper Trading. Balances, Positions, and P&L are simulated. You deposit nothing. You wager, stake, escrow, and risk nothing, and you cannot lose anything of value. A simulated loss lowers your score. It takes nothing from you. SOAR pays the Prizes from its own funds, out of its own working capital. Entrants do not fund the Prize Pool, no part of any Prize comes from an Entrant, and SOAR takes no rake, commission, spread, or share of any simulated result. The Prize Pool is the same $10,000 whether one person enters or one hundred thousand do.
Nothing SOAR asks of an Entrant is consideration. Joining the waitlist, redeeming an Invite Code, connecting an X account, accepting these Official Rules, and inviting other users are all free, take only nominal time and effort, and require no purchase or payment. Entering in the SOAR App asks you to repost one announcement post, which takes a single tap and costs nothing. You are not required to do it: an Entrant who would rather not repost may enter by email under "How to enter", with no repost and no other post, share, like, follow, comment, tag, or promotional act of any kind, and is eligible for every Prize on identical terms. No promotional act is required to enter, to trade, to be ranked, or to win, and no such act improves your standing. SOAR does not sell, license, or trade Entrant data as a condition of or in connection with Entry, and does not treat your data or your attention as payment.
Inviting other users is optional. An Entrant who never sends an invite is eligible for every Prize on the same terms as everyone else. Because an Invite Bonus raises how much simulated buying power you may claim each day, and because Entrants are ranked in absolute dollars, SOAR offers a free alternative so that no Entrant needs to invite anyone to obtain the same Daily Claim Allowance: you may request Invite Bonus credit without inviting anyone, by emailing info@trysoar.com from the address on your SOAR account, and SOAR will raise your Daily Claim Allowance by the same $100 per request, up to the same ten-invite cap that applies to invites, within two (2) Business Days. Requests are free, are subject to the same cap and the same cutoff as invites, and are credited whether or not you invite anyone.
Skill, not chance. SOAR runs the Competition as a contest of skill. Every Entrant starts with a Virtual Balance of zero and the same $500 base Daily Claim Allowance, sees the same markets, the same simulated order book, and the same reference data at the same time, and is scored by the same published method. What separates Entrants is what they choose: which markets to take a view on, what research that view rests on, when to enter and exit, how much to commit, and how to manage a Position across six weeks. The Grand Prizes are scored cumulatively across six weeks, so a single fortunate result does not decide them, and the Weekly Prizes reward performance repeated week after week rather than one outcome. To place in the Final Standings you must trade repeatedly across multiple days, which is set out in "Prize pool, weekly prizes, and grand prizes". Prizes are awarded on how you rank against other Entrants, not on the outcome of any particular market. No Prize is contingent on whether any referenced company reaches any valuation, and no Prize amount rises or falls with the outcome of any market or event.
No element of the Competition is decided by lot, drawing, random number, or chance selection. Entry, scoring, ranking, tiebreaking, and the award of every Prize are determined by the Entrant's own results under the published rules. SOAR does not operate the Competition as a lottery, sweepstakes, raffle, game of chance, prediction market, or real-money gaming product, and takes no entry fee and no wager. How the Competition is treated under the law of a particular place is a question for that place's law, and these Official Rules do not answer it.
8.How to enter
Entry is free by every method. There are three ways in.
In the SOAR App. Join the SOAR waitlist at trysoar.com, or sign up with an Invite Code from an existing SOAR user, then complete Entry in the SOAR App and repost the Competition announcement post as described in "X account requirement and platform disclaimer".
By email. Send an email to info@trysoar.com with the subject line "Competition Entry", giving your name, the email address on your SOAR account, and your X handle. An email Entry requires no repost and no other post, share, like, follow, or promotional act of any kind. Everything else about Entry is the same, and an email Entrant is scored, ranked, and eligible for every Prize on exactly the same terms as any other Entrant. SOAR confirms an email Entry by reply. Entering by email does not give you a second Entry if you have already entered another way, and does not affect when SOAR grants you access to the SOAR App.
Your Entry is not complete until your SOAR account has been granted access to the SOAR App, an X account is connected to it in the SOAR App, you have accepted these Official Rules, and you have either reposted the announcement post or entered by email. All of that must stay true from the moment your Entry is complete until any Prize you win is paid.
Access to the SOAR App. The SOAR App is in private beta. Joining the waitlist, redeeming an Invite Code, or sending an email Entry does not by itself give you access to the SOAR App. SOAR grants access in limited numbers and at its own discretion, and until access is granted you are not an Entrant, do not appear on the Leaderboard, and are not eligible for a Prize. SOAR may close or pause access at any time, and may be unable to grant access to everyone who asks. SOAR applies the same access criteria to email Entrants as to everyone else, so entering by email rather than reposting does not move you down the queue or delay your access. SOAR does not charge for access to the SOAR App, for a place on the waitlist, or for an Invite Code, and does not accept payment of any kind in connection with the Competition. Invite Codes are issued free and may not be bought, sold, rented, or brokered.
If the connection drops, or your SOAR or X account is deleted, deactivated, suspended, or restricted, you are not eligible for a Prize. SOAR may remove you from the Leaderboard.
Entry closes on September 23, 2026 at 11:59:59 p.m. Pacific Time, one week before the Final Close. A person whose Entry is not complete by then may still use the SOAR App if SOAR grants access, but is not an Entrant, does not appear on the Leaderboard, and is not eligible for a Prize.
If you complete Entry after the Competition Period starts, you receive the same base Daily Claim Allowance as every other Entrant, you may begin claiming on the calendar day your Entry completes, and you are scored from the moment your Entry is complete through the Final Close. No pro-rata adjustment, handicap, or time-weighting applies. Entering later means fewer calendar days on which to claim, and so less simulated capital available to you over the Competition Period, as well as less time to trade. You compete on absolute dollar P&L against Entrants who started earlier.
How you entered does not change how you are scored. Waitlist Entrants, Invite Code Entrants, and email Entrants are ranked on the same basis. Invites you send do change how much you may claim each calendar day — see "Virtual Balance, daily claims, and the invite bonus".
9.X account requirement and platform disclaimer
A Connected X Account is required to enter. Connect it to the SOAR App, keep it connected for the whole Competition, and keep it connected through payout. The account must be yours, must be public, and must be in good standing: not suspended, locked, restricted, or deleted. The account must have been created at least thirty (30) days before you complete your Entry.
Reposting the announcement. If you enter in the SOAR App, you must repost the Competition announcement post from your Connected X Account before Entry closes, and keep that repost public until the Final Close. SOAR verifies reposts from X's own records. Deleting the repost, or setting the account private, before the Final Close may make you ineligible for a Prize. You do not have to post anything of your own, use a hashtag, tag anyone, follow any account, or post more than once, and reposting more often does not improve your standing.
You are not required to repost in order to enter or win. If you would rather not, enter by email under "How to enter" instead. An email Entrant does not repost anything and is eligible for every Prize on identical terms.
One X account per Entrant. One Entrant per X account. An X account already connected to another Entrant's SOAR account does not qualify a second Entry. If your X account is disconnected, set to private, suspended, or deleted, your Entry may be suspended and you may be ineligible for Prizes covering the affected periods. Your trades are scored only from the moment a qualifying X account is connected, and your Entry is not complete before then. SOAR may require you to re-verify control of the Connected X Account before paying any Prize, and may verify control by other means if the connection fails for reasons outside your control. Your use of X is governed by X's own terms. Nothing here changes that.
The Competition is not sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with X Corp. or X.AI LLC (together, "X"), Apple Inc., or Google LLC. Those companies are not responsible for the Competition and have no liability arising from it. To the extent the law allows, you release each of them and their affiliates from all claims arising out of your participation or any Prize. If you access the SOAR App through an application obtained from the Apple App Store or Google Play, the Competition is in no way sponsored, endorsed, or administered by, or associated with, Apple Inc. or Google LLC, and any question, complaint, or claim about the Competition or the SOAR App must go to SOAR and not to Apple or Google. Send all questions, comments, and complaints about the Competition to SOAR at info@trysoar.com, not to X, Apple, or Google.
10.Virtual Balance, daily claims, and the invite bonus
The Competition is played with simulated money. Prizes are paid in real money. Both are written with a dollar sign. Read which is which.
Virtual Balance is simulated. It moves up and down as you trade. It is a score, not money, credit, a stored-value balance, a deposit, a bank or brokerage account balance, a token, or your property. It has no cash value and no fair market value. It cannot be withdrawn, redeemed, exchanged, transferred, assigned, or sold. It creates no debt, obligation, or claim of any kind against SOAR. SOAR may adjust, correct, reset, or remove it at any time, including to fix an error or to enforce these Official Rules.
There is no starting balance. Every Entrant begins with a Virtual Balance of zero and builds it by claiming. On each calendar day of the Competition Period you may claim up to your Daily Claim Allowance in the SOAR App. The base allowance is $500 per calendar day for every Entrant.
Each qualifying invite adds $100 to your Daily Claim Allowance, up to ten (10) qualifying invites, so the most any Entrant may claim is $1,500 per calendar day. An invite raises the allowance from the day the bonus is credited onward; it does not add Virtual Balance on its own and it does not increase allowances for days that have already passed. One bonus per invited person. The Invite Bonus is simulated currency. It is not cash, it is not a Prize, and it is not paid from the Prize Pool.
You must claim. A Daily Claim is not credited automatically. An allowance you do not claim on a calendar day is gone at 11:59:59 p.m. Pacific Time that day: it does not carry over, does not accrue, and cannot be claimed later. Virtual Balance counts toward your score only if it is claimed before the Final Close snapshot.
An Invite Bonus is credited within twenty-four (24) hours after the invited person's Entry is complete, as determined from SOAR's server-side records. Invites sent after September 23, 2026 at 11:59:59 p.m. Pacific Time do not earn a bonus, and no bonus is credited for an invited person whose Entry completes after that time. Each Entrant may earn a maximum of ten (10) Invite Bonuses, raising that Entrant's Daily Claim Allowance by at most $1,000, to $1,500 per calendar day. The invited person receives the same base Daily Claim Allowance as every other Entrant and receives nothing additional for redeeming an Invite Code.
You do not have to invite anyone to receive Invite Bonus credit. Under "No purchase necessary; no consideration", you may request the same $100 increase to your Daily Claim Allowance for free by emailing info@trysoar.com from the address on your SOAR account, up to the same cap and subject to the same cutoff. A requested credit and an earned bonus are treated identically for scoring.
SOAR decides whether an invite qualifies, from its server-side records. SOAR may cap the number of bonuses you can earn, hold bonuses pending review, reduce a Daily Claim Allowance already raised, reverse Daily Claims made on capital that bonus allowed, void trades made with clawed-back capital, and restate your P&L and ranking accordingly, including after the Final Standings are certified and after a Prize has been awarded. Self-referral is prohibited. Invites to accounts you control, to duplicate or fabricated accounts, or to people who do not exist do not qualify.
An invite qualifies only if all of the following are true:
- The person is a distinct, real human.
- The person is new to SOAR and has never held a SOAR account. Reactivated, restored, previously closed, and previously banned accounts do not qualify.
- The person signed up using your Invite Code.
- The person connected an X account meeting "X account requirement and platform disclaimer".
- The person is not you, and does not act for you or at your direction.
- You did not pay the person, and did not promise the person anything, for signing up.
- The account is not a duplicate, automated, scripted, or bot-operated account, and is not one of a group of accounts sharing devices, phone numbers, email patterns, or network addresses in a way that indicates a single operator.
The qualifying trigger is the completion of the invited person's Entry as defined in "Definitions": account creation using your Invite Code, verification of the email address on that account, access to the SOAR App granted by SOAR, and connection of a qualifying X account. App install alone does not qualify. Account creation alone does not qualify. No trade by the invited person is required.
11.Paper trading only
The Competition is simulated. Every balance, Position, order, fill, price, and P&L figure shown to you in the Competition is simulated. Every Daily Claim you make is virtual. The $100 each invite adds to your Daily Claim Allowance is virtual. No real funds are deposited, held, wagered, transferred, invested, or placed at risk. Positions, P&L figures, and Leaderboard rankings describe simulated activity in your Competition Account. They do not describe any real holding.
Cash Prizes under these Official Rules are paid by SOAR as contest prizes. A Prize is not a withdrawal of your Virtual Balance, a redemption of it, or a conversion of it into cash. Prize amounts and payment terms are set by "Prize pool and grand prize", not by your Virtual Balance. Your Virtual Balance is used only to rank Entrants.
The Competition Account is separate from any other SOAR account, product, or balance. If any real-money or equity-backed SOAR product, including Spot, is accessible to you during the Competition Period, it is not part of the Competition. No activity in any such product credits, debits, or affects your Virtual Balance, your Positions, your P&L, or your Leaderboard rank, and no Position in the Competition can be funded from, hedged with, or settled against any such product.
12.No securities, no ownership, no offer
SOAR does not offer, sell, or issue any security, derivative, futures contract, swap, option, warrant, note, or other financial instrument through the Competition. Entering or participating gives you no share, equity interest, membership interest, or other instrument in SOAR or in any company referenced on SOAR. Nothing in the Competition is an offer to sell, a solicitation of an offer to buy, or a recommendation to buy or sell anything.
A Synthetic Market, a rung, a Survival Ladder, a MultiStrike order, and an Index are terms inside SOAR's software. They reference valuation thresholds SOAR defines. A Position in one is a scoring entry. It gives you no ownership, no economic interest, no claim on assets or revenue, no voting right, no information right, and no other right against any referenced company or against any holder of that company's securities.
No Position settles in cash, securities, or any other asset. Nothing you do in the Competition entitles you to acquire, subscribe for, or receive securities of any company, on any terms, at any time. Nothing you do in the Competition gives you an interest in SOAR.
No Position is a wager, bet, stake, or event contract, and no Position is a swap, a future, an option on a future, or a commodity interest of any kind. You pay nothing to open a Position and receive nothing on closing one. There is no counterparty to a Position: SOAR does not take the other side, no Entrant takes the other side, and no payment or thing of value moves between Entrants or between you and SOAR on any simulated outcome. A Position that resolves in your favor increases a number in your Competition Account and nothing else. Whether you win a Prize turns on how your simulated results rank against other Entrants over six weeks, not on whether any market resolves one way or the other, and no Prize amount is calculated by reference to any market outcome.
SOAR may describe products it has not launched, including real-money or equity-backed trading. Those descriptions are forward-looking. They are not commitments, guarantees, or timelines. They can change, be delayed, or be dropped at any time. No such description is an offer to sell or a solicitation of an offer to buy any security or other instrument. Entering the Competition, placing a simulated trade, inviting other users, or finishing in any position on the Leaderboard gives you no priority, allocation, discount, or right of access to any SOAR product.
13.Not a broker-dealer, and not investment advice
SOAR is not registered with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, the Commodity Futures Trading Commission, FINRA, the National Futures Association, or any comparable non-U.S. authority as a broker, dealer, broker-dealer, investment adviser, futures commission merchant, introducing broker, commodity pool operator, commodity trading advisor, swap dealer, designated contract market, swap execution facility, national securities exchange, alternative trading system, clearing agency, or money transmitter. SOAR does not operate the Competition as a regulated market or a regulated trading venue.
SOAR's matching engine operates only on simulated orders inside SOAR's software. SOAR does not operate it as an exchange, an alternative trading system, or a clearing or settlement facility. No activity in the Competition clears, settles, or transfers any asset, security, or payment between Entrants.
You do not become a customer, client, or account holder of a broker-dealer, exchange, adviser, or bank by entering. You hold no account with SOAR containing customer funds or customer securities. Your Virtual Balance is not protected by SIPC, the FDIC, or any deposit insurance, investor compensation, or customer protection scheme.
Nothing in the Competition is investment, legal, tax, accounting, or financial advice, and nothing in it is a recommendation, solicitation, endorsement, or opinion about the merits of any investment. That covers these Official Rules, the Leaderboard, standings and rankings, market prices, market names and descriptions, resolution outcomes, notifications, Promotional Materials, and any content published by SOAR or posted by another Entrant, including posts on X. Simulated results are not indicative of real results. Do not rely on anything you see in the Competition for a real financial decision.
SOAR is not your adviser and owes you no fiduciary duty. You are responsible for your own decisions. These Official Rules describe how SOAR operates the Competition. They are not legal advice to you, and they are not a determination by any regulator or court. Any license, registration, or regulatory status SOAR holds or applies for is disclosed on trysoar.com. Nothing in this section is a representation that SOAR holds any license or registration, and nothing in it is a statement about the regulatory status of any SOAR product other than the Competition.
14.No relationship with referenced companies
The companies referenced on SOAR, including OpenAI, Anthropic, SpaceX, Databricks, and Waymo, do not sponsor, endorse, administer, approve, review, or participate in the Competition. They are not affiliated with SOAR or with the Competition. They have not supplied, verified, or approved any data, valuation, price, market, or statement shown to you.
All company names, logos, and trademarks are the property of their respective owners. SOAR uses them for identification and reference only, to describe what a simulated market tracks. That use implies no partnership, sponsorship, endorsement, affiliation, or license.
To the extent the law allows, you release each referenced company from claims arising out of the Competition. Send any question, complaint, or claim about the Competition to SOAR at info@trysoar.com. Do not contact a referenced company about it.
15.Scoring
Ranking is by total portfolio profit and loss in dollars. Absolute dollar P&L. Not percentage return. Not ending balance. Your P&L at a snapshot is your Account Value — uncommitted Virtual Balance plus open Positions at Closing Value — minus your baseline. All amounts are simulated dollars.
Two things are scored from the same trading, on the same absolute dollar basis.
Weekly Prizes are scored on Weekly P&L: your Account Value at a Weekly Close, minus your Account Value at the start of that week, minus every Daily Claim credited during that week. Each week stands alone. Nothing carries forward, and an Entrant who has a poor first week starts week two level with everyone else.
Grand Prizes are scored on cumulative P&L: your Account Value at the Final Close minus your baseline, across the whole Competition Period. Nothing resets.
The same Positions and fills feed both. Winning weeks does not add to your cumulative figure, and a strong cumulative figure does not win a week. Your Positions carry across a Weekly Close: nothing is closed out, sold, or reset at a Weekly Close, and only the measuring point changes.
A Daily Claim is capital, not profit. Claiming $500 raises your balance by $500 and changes your P&L by zero. Only what you earn on that capital counts. The same is true of every dollar an Invite Bonus lets you claim: a larger Daily Claim Allowance gives you more capital to trade, never a higher P&L on its own.
Scoring is computed from SOAR's server-side records. Those records control. If the app, the live Leaderboard, a screenshot, or an export shows a different figure, the server-side record governs. Figures are rounded to the nearest cent.
You do not have to close Positions to be scored. Open Positions are marked at each Weekly Close and at the Final Close, at one snapshot taken across all markets at the same moment. Closing Value is determined by the following cascade, applied in order, and not by the Divine Oracle mark. The same rules apply at every Close. Marking rules:
- Each open Position is marked at the last traded price for that market published by SOAR's matching engine at or before the snapshot.
- If a market has no trade at or before the snapshot, the Position is marked at the midpoint of the resting book at the snapshot.
- If there is neither a trade nor a two-sided book, the Position is marked at your entry price. Your entry price is the volume-weighted average price of your fills in that Position.
- Unresolved rungs, including rungs held through MultiStrike execution or inside a Survival Ladder, are marked at their snapshot price, not at their eventual settlement value.
- Markets that have already settled contribute their settled value.
- Markets halted, suspended, or delisted before the snapshot are marked at the last price published before the halt. If SOAR cancels a market and reverses its trades, those trades and any P&L they produced are removed.
- Resting and unfilled orders are worth nothing. Only fills and cash count.
- Indexes are non-tradeable performance trackers and contribute nothing to P&L. Real-money activity, including Spot, contributes nothing to P&L.
- Trades voided by SOAR under these Official Rules are excluded, and any P&L they produced is removed.
No commission, fee, spread markup, or slippage charge is applied to a simulated fill, and no financing or funding charge accrues on an open Position. Your fills are subject to the resting book in the simulated market, so a large order may fill at several prices. No leverage or margin is available in the Competition, and you cannot hold a Position that exceeds your uncommitted Virtual Balance. SOAR may apply per-market position limits, per-market concentration limits, order rate limits, and order size limits in the paper environment, and publishes any such limit then in effect in the SOAR App. SOAR may change a limit during the Competition Period to protect the integrity of a thin market, and will post a change that affects scoring on this page.
16.Leaderboard, tiebreakers, and certification
The live Leaderboard is provisional and unofficial. Between snapshots it uses live marks, which are estimates and are not the marks used for scoring. It can lag, carry pricing or calculation errors, and include Entrants who are later disqualified. No Prize is owed on the basis of a provisional standing, a screenshot of one, or a position held at any point during the Competition. Leading the live Leaderboard at any moment other than a Close wins nothing, and leading it at a Close wins nothing until SOAR certifies the standings for that Close.
Results become official only when SOAR certifies them after review. That applies to each Weekly Standings and to the Final Standings. SOAR reviews the Competition for the conduct described in "Prohibited conduct" before certifying. Until certification, SOAR may restate the Leaderboard to correct pricing, marking, or calculation errors, to reverse voided trades, and to remove disqualified Entrants. A restatement can change who wins and by how much.
SOAR publishes each certified Weekly Standings on this page within five (5) Business Days after that Weekly Close, and the certified Final Standings within ten (10) Business Days after the Final Close. If SOAR needs longer to complete a review or an investigation, SOAR will post the revised date on this page before that period ends.
A certified Weekly Standings can still be reopened. Conduct found later, a correction to a price or a mark, or a disqualification may change who won a week, at any time before Prizes are paid, and SOAR may withdraw a Weekly Prize announced on a standing that is later restated.
All timestamps and snapshots are SOAR's server-side records, measured to the millisecond. Device, client, browser, and screenshot timestamps are not used. SOAR takes a scoring snapshot daily at 11:59:59 p.m. Pacific Time during the Competition Period. If two or more Entrants are tied at a Weekly Close on Weekly P&L, or at the Final Close on cumulative P&L, to the cent, the tie is broken in this order. At a Weekly Close each test is measured within that Weekly Period only:
1 Higher P&L at the last daily snapshot before that Close.
2 Earlier server timestamp of the Entrant's last fill before that Close.
3 Fewer total fills before that Close.
4 Earlier SOAR account creation timestamp.
If Entrants are still tied after all four, the Prizes for the tied places are added together and divided equally among the tied Entrants, rounded down to the nearest cent, and the next place is skipped accordingly. SOAR's calculation is final.
17.Corrections, scoring disputes, and final decisions
If you think your score, your balance, an Invite Bonus, or your rank is wrong, tell SOAR. Email info@trysoar.com from the address on your SOAR account. Include your Connected X Account handle, the period, the figure you dispute, and what you believe it should be.
Raise it within five (5) Business Days of the figure appearing, and in every case before the Final Standings are certified. SOAR reviews disputes against its server-side records and tells you the outcome. That determination closes the dispute. SOAR is not required to review a complaint made after that window.
SOAR may correct any erroneous Virtual Balance, trade, execution, P&L figure, Invite Bonus, or Leaderboard entry at any time. That includes after a standing is posted and after a Prize is announced. A corrected result controls over a result that was displayed. Certified results are final, and after certification SOAR is not required to reopen the Competition, except to correct its own error or to act on a violation under "Investigations, disqualification, and remedy".
If SOAR pays a Prize on a result that SOAR later determines was wrong, was produced by a system error, or was obtained in breach of these Official Rules, you will return the Prize on request. SOAR may also offset it against any other Prize owed to you.
SOAR is not required to monitor for cheating, to detect an error, or to act on any report it receives. Acting in one case does not require SOAR to act in another. To the extent the law allows, SOAR's decisions on entry validity, eligibility, scoring, standings, disqualification, forfeiture, and who wins a Prize are final and binding, subject to "Dispute resolution".
18.Prize pool, weekly prizes, and grand prizes
The total Prize Pool is $10,000, paid in U.S. dollars. It covers every Prize in this Competition, weekly and grand, and $10,000 is the most SOAR will pay in total. There are no participation prizes. Nothing is paid before the Final Close.
Weekly Prizes. A Weekly Prize is awarded at each of the six Weekly Closes to the single highest-ranked eligible Entrant in the certified Weekly Standings for that week, measured on Weekly P&L for that week alone. The same Entrant may win more than one Weekly Prize, and winning a Weekly Prize does not reduce or forfeit any Grand Prize that Entrant later wins. To win a Weekly Prize you must have at least three (3) fills in Eligible Instruments during that Weekly Period and meet every eligibility requirement at that Weekly Close.
Grand Prizes. The three highest-ranked eligible Entrants in the Final Standings win the Grand Prizes. First place receives the largest of the three amounts. No Entrant may win more than one Grand Prize.
Allocation and minimum amounts. SOAR determines how the $10,000 is allocated between the Weekly Prizes and the Grand Prizes, and among first, second, and third place, and publishes the full allocation on this page with the certified Final Standings. That discretion is subject to two minimums fixed by these Official Rules and not changeable after the Competition Period begins:
- No Weekly Prize is less than two hundred fifty dollars ($250). Across six Weekly Closes, that is at least $1,500 in Weekly Prizes.
- The first place Grand Prize is not less than three thousand dollars ($3,000).
Every Prize is a cash amount in U.S. dollars. The six Weekly Prizes and the three Grand Prizes together total $10,000.
To place in the Final Standings, you must have at least ten (10) fills in Eligible Instruments, on at least five (5) separate calendar days during the Competition Period. An Entrant who does not meet that minimum is not ranked and is not eligible for a Grand Prize. An Entrant with a net trading loss can still place and win, at a Weekly Close or at the Final Close, if that Entrant ranks high enough and meets the applicable minimum activity requirement.
The Competition closes on September 30, 2026. September 30 is the last day of trading, not the payment date. Weekly Prizes are announced during the Competition Period but are not paid during it. After the Final Close SOAR reviews and certifies the Final Standings, verifies every Winner, weekly and grand, and collects tax documentation. All Prizes are paid after that is complete, under "Prize payment and taxes". SOAR intends to pay every verified Winner within forty-five (45) days after the Final Close, meaning by November 14, 2026, provided the Winner returns complete verification and tax documentation promptly.
Prizes are cash, non-transferable, and paid only to the verified Winner. If SOAR cannot pay by the stated method, SOAR may pay by another method of the same value. SOAR does not substitute account credit, Virtual Balance, merchandise, or any other non-cash award for a cash Prize. Payment in USDC under "Prize payment and taxes" is payment of the cash Prize in a dollar-denominated form, not a substitute award. If fewer than three Entrants are eligible at the Final Close, or if no eligible Entrant qualifies at a Weekly Close, SOAR awards in rank order and any remainder is not awarded and is not redistributed among the eligible Winners.
19.Winner notification and verification
SOAR notifies potential Winners in the SOAR App and at the email address on the SOAR account, and may also contact you at the Connected X Account, within five (5) Business Days after the applicable standings are certified. That applies to each Weekly Standings and to the Final Standings. Keep your contact details current. A notification sent to the details on your account counts as delivered.
You must respond within five (5) Business Days of the date the notification is sent. Before SOAR pays anything, you must verify your identity and eligibility. SOAR may require your legal name, date of birth, address, government-issued identification, proof of residency, proof of location, a signed affidavit of eligibility and liability release, and a publicity release where the law allows one. SOAR will not require anything beyond those items without telling you why.
A Prize is forfeited if the notification cannot be delivered, if you miss the response deadline, if you cannot be verified, if you are ineligible, if paying you would breach sanctions or other applicable law, or if you decline it.
Being notified of a Weekly Prize is not payment of it, and a Weekly Prize is forfeited on the same terms as any other Prize at any time before it is paid. SOAR may then award it to the next highest-ranked eligible Entrant. SOAR will attempt no more than three (3) substitute Winners for any one Prize. If none can be verified, that Prize goes unawarded.
20.Prize payment and taxes
Every Prize, weekly and grand, is paid after the Final Close on September 30, 2026, once SOAR has certified the applicable standings, verified the Winner, and received all required tax documentation. No Prize is paid on or before September 30.
SOAR pays verified Winners within thirty (30) days after verification and all required tax documentation are complete, by a method SOAR selects. That may be an ACH transfer or a bank wire, domestic or international, to an account in the Winner's name, or a transfer of USDC to a wallet address the Winner provides and controls. Every Prize is denominated in U.S. dollars. A Prize paid in USDC is paid at one USDC per Prize dollar, and you bear any network fee, exchange cost, price movement, or loss arising after SOAR sends the transfer. A blockchain transfer sent to the address you provide is final and cannot be reversed or resent, so you are responsible for the accuracy of that address and for the security of the wallet.
You are responsible for all federal, state, and local taxes on any Prize you receive, and for your own reporting. SOAR does not give tax advice. Talk to your own advisor.
U.S. Winners must complete and return an IRS Form W-9 before payment, whatever the size of the Prize. That applies to a Weekly Prize as much as to a Grand Prize. For payments made in 2026, the federal information-reporting threshold for prizes and awards on IRS Form 1099-MISC is $2,000, raised from $600 by the One Big Beautiful Bill Act. The threshold applies to your total Prizes for the year, not to each Prize separately, so Weekly Prizes and any Grand Prize are added together. SOAR reports on IRS Form 1099-MISC for the 2026 tax year where that total reaches the threshold, whether the Prizes are paid by bank transfer or in USDC.
SOAR may hold payment until all tax and identity documentation is complete and correct, and may apply backup withholding where the law requires it. If you do not return the documentation within fourteen (14) days of SOAR's request, the Prize is forfeited and may go to the next highest-ranked eligible Entrant.
Winners outside the United States. If you are not a U.S. person, you must complete and return the applicable IRS Form W-8, usually Form W-8BEN for an individual, before payment, instead of a Form W-9. A Prize paid by SOAR is U.S. source income, and SOAR may be required to withhold U.S. federal tax from it at the statutory rate, or at a lower rate if an income tax treaty between the United States and your country of residence applies and you have claimed it correctly on your Form W-8. Any amount withheld is deducted from the Prize, not added to it. SOAR reports payments to non-U.S. Winners as U.S. law requires.
You are responsible for any tax, duty, currency conversion cost, bank charge, or reporting obligation that applies where you live. SOAR does not gross up a Prize for withholding, fees, or exchange rates, and does not give tax advice in any country.
SOAR pays a non-U.S. Winner by international wire or in USDC, at SOAR's election. If SOAR cannot lawfully or practically pay a Winner in a particular country, SOAR may require an alternative payment method, and where no lawful method exists the Prize is forfeited.
21.Publicity, the leaderboard, and what you post
The Leaderboard is public. By entering, you agree that SOAR may show your rank, your scored P&L, and your Connected X Account handle, display name, and profile image on the Leaderboard and in SOAR's public channels, during and after the Competition Period. Those are the only Entrant fields shown publicly. Your legal name, email address, and location are not displayed. Every Entrant competes under the Connected X Account handle, and SOAR does not offer a pseudonymous or alternate display name for the Competition. You grant SOAR a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive license to use them to run, publish, and promote the Competition, without further notice or payment, except where prohibited by law.
Winners. Except where the law prohibits it, accepting a Prize means SOAR may use your name, X handle, city and state, likeness, photograph, voice, biographical details, and any statement you make about the Competition, together with the Prize awarded, for advertising, promotion, and news, in any medium now known or later developed, worldwide, with no further notice, review, approval, or payment. Where the law requires a separate signed release for that use, SOAR may condition payment on your returning one. If the law bars you from giving this consent, or you decline to sign a required release, SOAR may award the Prize to the next highest-ranked eligible Entrant.
This section gives SOAR no ownership of your X account, your posts, or anything you create outside the Competition.
What you post. The Competition requires a Connected X Account, so this applies to what you post on X and anywhere else. Label simulated figures as simulated. Do not present a simulated balance, gain, loss, Position, or ranking as a real one, and do not present it as a real account, real returns, or a real trading record.
Do not use the Competition, your standing, or any SOAR price to solicit investment, to offer to buy or sell any security, to promise a return, or to give investment advice. Do not state or imply that SOAR sponsors, endorses, employs, or is affiliated with you. Do not use a referenced company's name, logo, or marks in a way that suggests it sponsors, endorses, or is affiliated with you or with your posts. SOAR may require you to correct or remove a post that breaches this section, and may disqualify you.
22.Prohibited conduct
The following is prohibited. Attempting any of it counts. Helping someone else do any of it counts. Any of it is grounds for immediate disqualification under "Investigations, disqualification, and remedy". Conduct that violates the SOAR Terms of Service also violates these Official Rules.
- Operating more than one SOAR account, or entering more than once, under your own name or any other name.
- Creating, controlling, or directing sockpuppet, farmed, or proxy accounts, including accounts registered by friends, family, or paid participants but operated by you.
- Entering with a purchased, rented, hijacked, or bot-generated X account, or with an X account whose followers or activity were purchased or automated.
- Collusion: coordinating trades, Positions, or timing with other Entrants to move a market, influence rankings, or split a Prize.
- Wash trading, self-matching, or any arranged pair of orders that trade against each other without genuine market risk, including trades arranged to move paper P&L between accounts you control or between you and another Entrant.
- Order-book manipulation, including spoofing, layering, entering orders without intent to trade, marking the close, ramping, and cornering or squeezing a thin market or a thin rung.
- Trading on a pricing, marking, settlement, or matching-engine defect instead of reporting it. See "Duty to report exploits".
- Trading on confidential information about a listed company that you obtained in breach of an obligation to keep it confidential.
- Unauthorized automation: bots, scripts, headless clients, macros, or any programmatic order entry that SOAR has not expressly made available to all Entrants.
- Abusing or overloading SOAR's API, or calling endpoints not intended for Entrant use.
- Scraping SOAR's app, site, market data, or Leaderboard.
- Reverse engineering, decompiling, or probing SOAR's systems, including its matching engine, or attempting to infer or exploit non-public pricing logic.
- Circumventing rate limits, position limits, order limits, geographic restrictions, or any other control SOAR applies.
- Buying, selling, renting, transferring, or brokering SOAR accounts, Invite Codes, invite signups, or Leaderboard positions.
- Impersonating another person, another Entrant, SOAR, or a SOAR employee, including on X.
- Interfering with other Entrants: harassment, threats, doxxing, phishing, credential theft, or any attempt to degrade another Entrant's access or performance.
- Providing false, borrowed, or stolen identity information at Entry or at payout.
- Tampering with Entry, scoring, the Leaderboard, the SOAR App, or the website, or interfering with how the Competition runs. SOAR may seek damages and any other remedy available to it.
- Any other conduct that undermines the legitimate operation of the Competition, whether or not it is listed above.
23.Duty to report exploits
If you find a defect, you must report it. This includes mispriced markets, stale or frozen marks, incorrect settlement, matching-engine faults, balance or bonus errors, and any behavior that lets an account gain P&L without taking genuine market risk.
Report it to info@trysoar.com before you trade it. Do not trade it. Do not tell other Entrants. Trading a defect after you knew about it is disqualifying. So is continuing to trade it after you report it. Repeated trades that only make sense if you had found the defect are evidence that you had.
SOAR may void the affected trades and remove any P&L they produced, whoever made them, including trades made in good faith. Reporting a defect in good faith is not a violation and will not count against your standing. SOAR does not promise a payment, a Prize, or a reward for a report.
24.Investigations, disqualification, and remedy
SOAR monitors trading, account, and device data to enforce these Official Rules, as described in the Privacy Policy at trysoar.com/privacy. SOAR may investigate any account at any time, hold your standing and any Prize while it does, and ask you for information, including re-verification of control of your Connected X Account. SOAR may treat accounts sharing devices, phone numbers, email patterns, or network addresses as a single Entrant. If you do not respond within five (5) Business Days, SOAR may disqualify you.
SOAR may act before, during, or after a period closes, including after results are certified, after a Winner is announced, and after money is sent. If you were paid a Prize you were not entitled to under these Official Rules, you must return it on request, within ten (10) Business Days of that request.
SOAR does not have to prove intent. Evidence of activity consistent with "Prohibited conduct" is enough to act. Before disqualifying you, SOAR will tell you what it found and give you five (5) Business Days to respond in writing, unless SOAR reasonably believes that doing so would let the conduct continue or would compromise an investigation. SOAR reviews any response before its decision becomes final. There is no further internal appeal. To the extent permitted by law, SOAR's determinations on eligibility, scoring, violations, and Prizes are final and binding.
Suspension or termination of your account under the SOAR Terms of Service ends your participation, and any unpaid Prize is forfeited. SOAR may act on any violation at its sole discretion. Available remedies, alone or in combination:
- Voiding individual trades, a session, or a full period of trading.
- Resetting or adjusting a Virtual Balance.
- Reducing a Daily Claim Allowance, reversing Daily Claims already credited, and removing any P&L earned on that capital.
- Adjusting, freezing, or zeroing a score.
- Removing you from the Leaderboard or from the Competition entirely.
- Restating the Leaderboard and re-ranking the affected periods.
- Withholding a Prize, and reclaiming a Prize already announced or already paid.
- Suspending or terminating your SOAR account.
- Barring you from future SOAR competitions.
25.Market data, outages, and platform availability
Prices in the Competition come from Entrant activity in SOAR's software and from reference data SOAR selects. They may be delayed, interpolated, estimated, modeled, adjusted, stale, incomplete, or wrong. SOAR does not warrant that any price, valuation, market description, Position, fill, resolution, standing, or P&L figure is accurate, current, or complete. All of it is provided as is. A simulated price is not a valuation, appraisal, quote, mark, or fair value estimate of any company, is not a prediction of any price at which a company's securities have traded or will trade, and is not a statement about any company's financial condition, funding, or prospects. Where SOAR uses reference data from a third-party provider, that provider does not sponsor, endorse, or participate in the Competition, supplies its data as is and without warranty, and has no liability for any use of it in the Competition. You may not redistribute, resell, or republish any market data from the Competition.
The app, the markets, and the Leaderboard can go down, lag, or return bad data. Outages, downtime, scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, latency, degraded performance, order routing failures, rejected or delayed orders, data errors, account or connection problems, and third-party service failures may occur, including at a Close. Downtime is not a scoring event. Trades you could not place, could not close, or placed late do not entitle you to a score adjustment, a re-run, an extension, or a Prize.
No real funds are at risk in the Competition, so no such event causes you a loss of funds. SOAR is not liable for simulated profit you did not make, simulated loss you incurred, an order you could not place, modify, or cancel, or a Leaderboard position you did not reach, as a result of any of these events.
If an outage, a data error, a pricing or settlement fault, or coordinated abuse materially affects a period, SOAR may extend the period, move a snapshot, void the affected trades, re-mark the affected Positions, rescore the period, or cancel and rescore it. SOAR posts any such action on this page. Any such step is at SOAR's sole discretion. SOAR is not obliged to take one, and taking one does not oblige SOAR to take another.
SOAR's determination of a price, a resolution, a correction, or a standing is final and binding on you, except where applicable law says otherwise. You have no claim against SOAR for a simulated loss, a forgone simulated gain, or a change in your ranking caused by anything in this section. SOAR may, at its sole discretion and at any time:
- correct, adjust, void, cancel, or re-price any order, fill, or Position, including one caused by an error, a fault, a data problem, or prohibited conduct;
- suspend, halt, delist, close, or re-open any market;
- settle or resolve any market, including where the referenced valuation or event is ambiguous, disputed, delayed, or unverifiable; and
- restate any Leaderboard standing, Account Value, or P&L figure to reflect a correction under this section.
26.Where the Competition is offered
The Competition is open only where it is lawful. Void where prohibited or restricted. You are responsible for knowing and following the laws that apply to you, including laws on contests and prize promotions, gaming and gambling, prediction markets, derivatives and securities, sanctions and export control, and tax. Being able to enter does not mean the Competition is lawful where you live.
The Competition is open worldwide except in the jurisdictions on the Restricted List below. If you are a legal resident of, or physically located in, a Restricted Jurisdiction, you may not enter, you are not eligible for any Prize, and your Entry is void.
Restricted List.
United States. Washington State. Puerto Rico.
Countries and territories subject to comprehensive sanctions or export restrictions. Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Syria, Russia, Belarus, and the Crimea, Donetsk, Luhansk, Kherson, and Zaporizhzhia regions of Ukraine. The Competition is also closed to any person on a U.S. government restricted-party list, any person owned or controlled by such a person, and any person a Released Party is prohibited from transacting with under applicable sanctions or export control law, wherever located.
Countries with prize-promotion registration or approval regimes SOAR has not completed. Belgium, Brazil, Italy, mainland China, and the Province of Quebec, Canada.
The rest of the world is open, subject to the eligibility requirements in "Eligibility" and to your own local law.
SOAR may add any country, state, province, or territory to the Restricted List at any time, before or during the Competition, including where the Competition would require a registration, bond, or filing SOAR has not completed, where SOAR cannot lawfully award or pay a Prize, or where a sanctions or export control restriction applies. Any addition to the Restricted List will be posted on this page. If your jurisdiction is excluded, or if you are a person SOAR is prohibited from transacting with, your Entry is void, you are removed from the Leaderboard, and you are not eligible for any Prize.
SOAR screens Entry and payout against the eligible-jurisdiction list, and does not knowingly accept an Entry from, or pay a Prize to, a person in an excluded jurisdiction. SOAR may require proof of your location, identity, or eligibility before awarding a Prize. SOAR may disqualify you if you do not provide it, if the proof is inconsistent with your Entry, or if paying you would breach applicable law.
If a jurisdiction is excluded after you enter, your Entry is void from that point forward. Any Prize you have already been paid is not clawed back on that ground alone, and any unpaid Prize is forfeited.
27.Modification, suspension, and cancellation
SOAR may modify, suspend, shorten, extend, restart, or cancel the Competition, in whole or in part, at any time, with or without notice. SOAR may not reduce the minimum Prize amounts stated in "Prize pool, weekly prizes, and grand prizes" once the Competition Period has begun. SOAR may also disqualify any Entrant and void that Entrant's results, standings, invites, and Prize eligibility.
If SOAR shortens or cancels the Competition, SOAR may award Prizes on the standings in effect at that time, may award Prizes only on results SOAR determines were not affected by the cause, or may award no Grand Prize at all. The total value of all Prizes will not exceed $10,000. Except for the commitment in the next paragraph, SOAR does not commit to awarding the full Prize Pool if the Competition is shortened or cancelled, and any amount not awarded is not redistributed and stays with SOAR.
Announced Weekly Prizes are paid. Once SOAR has certified a Weekly Standings and announced the Winner of that Weekly Prize, SOAR will pay that Weekly Prize even if the Competition is later shortened, suspended, or cancelled. That commitment does not apply where the announced Winner is disqualified under these Official Rules, is found to have obtained the result by fraud, cheating, collusion, manipulation, or exploitation of a defect, cannot be verified, does not return the required documentation, is ineligible, or where that week's standings are restated under "Corrections, scoring disputes, and final decisions" so that the announced Winner did not in fact place first. SOAR's total commitment under this paragraph is limited to the Weekly Prizes actually announced, and in no event exceeds the Prize Pool.
SOAR may change the date of the Final Close or the timing of Grand Prize payment if a change to the Competition, a verification issue, or a payment issue makes the stated timing impracticable. Any change is posted on this page.
SOAR may act under this section for reasons including:
- Fraud, cheating, collusion, market manipulation, bot activity, or coordinated trading.
- Exploitation of a software bug, a pricing error, a settlement error, a data error, or any unintended platform behavior.
- Technical failure, outage, corruption, unauthorized intervention, or loss or failure of market data.
- Any legal, regulatory, tax, or platform-policy requirement, including a change to X's terms, policies, or API.
- Any other cause, inside or outside SOAR's control, that affects the administration, security, fairness, or integrity of the Competition.
28.Force majeure
SOAR is not liable for any failure or delay in running the Competition, scoring Entries, or delivering a Prize that is caused by an event beyond SOAR's reasonable control.
Those events include acts of God, natural disaster, fire, flood, severe weather, epidemic, war, terrorism, civil unrest, labor dispute, government or regulatory action, change in law, and court order. They also include cyberattack, denial-of-service attack, and any failure or interruption of power, internet, telecommunications, cloud or hosting services, app stores, market data providers, payment processors, or X.
If such an event stops the Competition from running as described, SOAR may suspend, shorten, extend, or cancel it, and may award Prizes as set out in "Modification, suspension, and cancellation". SOAR is not required to extend the Competition or to substitute a Prize because of such an event.
29.Privacy and your data
SOAR handles Entry data under the SOAR Privacy Policy at trysoar.com/privacy, which is incorporated into these Official Rules by reference. If these Official Rules and the Privacy Policy conflict about how personal data is handled, the Privacy Policy controls.
By entering, you agree that SOAR may collect and process the data it needs to run and score the Competition. That includes your waitlist signup details, any Invite Code you used or issued, the X account you connect to the SOAR App and its public profile information, your in-app activity, your simulated trading activity, and your resulting P&L.
If you win, SOAR may also collect and process what it needs to verify you, pay you, and meet its tax reporting obligations. That includes your legal name, date of birth, address, government-issued identification, the account or wallet details needed to pay you, and a taxpayer identification number on a completed IRS Form W-9, together with a signed affidavit of eligibility and liability release and, where the law allows one, a publicity release. SOAR may share that information with its payment processor, fulfillment and verification vendors, its accountants and advisors, and government authorities where the law requires it.
If you do not return what SOAR requests within fourteen (14) days of the request, you forfeit the Prize.
30.Release of claims
By entering, you release and forever discharge the Released Parties from every claim, demand, cause of action, damage, loss, cost, and expense of any kind, known or unknown. The release covers your Entry, your participation, your use of the SOAR App and website during the Competition, your invite activity, and your acceptance, receipt, or use of any Prize.
Released Parties means SOAR, its parent, subsidiaries, and affiliates, including any successor entity to which SOAR assigns these Official Rules, and each of their officers, directors, members, managers, employees, contractors, and agents. It also means any payment processor, fulfillment vendor, or verification vendor SOAR uses to run the Competition or pay a Prize.
You are also releasing claims you do not know about. You waive any law that limits a general release to claims you know or suspect to exist at the time of the release, including California Civil Code section 1542.
This release does not apply to any claim that cannot be released under applicable law. The release covers, without limitation:
- Errors, delays, interruptions, downtime, or unavailability of the SOAR App, the website, or the Leaderboard.
- Errors in simulated pricing, quotes, settlement, or market data, including errors affecting Synthetic Markets, Survival Ladders, rungs, or Indexes.
- Orders that execute, fail to execute, execute at a different simulated price, or are cancelled or reversed.
- Errors in the calculation, display, correction, or ranking of P&L or of standings.
- Loss, suspension, or disconnection of your X account, or any change to X that affects your Entry or your eligibility.
- Disqualification, forfeiture, or removal of a Virtual Balance, an Invite Bonus, a result, or a standing under these Official Rules.
- Any modification, suspension, shortening, extension, restart, or cancellation of the Competition.
- Delay, non-delivery, or misdelivery of a Prize by SOAR or by a payment processor or other third party.
- Any tax liability or reporting obligation arising from a Prize, and any personal injury, property damage, or expense connected to accepting or using a Prize.
31.No warranties
The Competition, the SOAR App, the website, the Leaderboard, and every simulated price, balance, and result are provided as is and as available.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, SOAR disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, and accuracy. SOAR does not warrant that the Competition will run without interruption or error, that simulated prices, executions, or P&L figures will be accurate or continuously available, or that any error will be found or corrected.
Simulated prices are generated for a simulated market. They are not quotes, valuations, offers, or recommendations, and no security, token, or other asset is bought, sold, or held in the Competition. Entering does not create an advisory, brokerage, or fiduciary relationship with SOAR.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of implied warranties. There, the exclusions in this section apply only to the extent the law permits.
32.Limitation of liability
The Competition uses simulated balances and simulated Positions. No real funds are deposited, wagered, or at risk. Your Virtual Balance, your P&L, any Invite Bonus, and your Leaderboard rank have no cash value and give you no property right. The only thing of value is a Prize SOAR actually awards under these Official Rules.
Two limits apply, and the lower one governs in any given case.
The Released Parties' total aggregate liability to you for all claims arising out of or relating to the Competition will not exceed the greater of one hundred dollars ($100) and the amount of the Prize actually awarded to you under these Official Rules.
The Released Parties' total aggregate liability to all Entrants combined, for all claims of every kind arising out of or relating to the Competition, will not exceed ten thousand dollars ($10,000), being the amount of the Prize Pool. That is a single, shared ceiling across every claim by every Entrant. It is not $10,000 per Entrant and not $10,000 per claim, and amounts paid or payable to one claimant reduce what remains available to every other. The Competition risks nothing of yours: no Entrant deposits, stakes, or can lose anything of value, so the Prize Pool is the whole of what is at stake in the Competition, and it is the whole of what the Released Parties can be required to pay because of it.
These limits apply to every theory of liability, including contract, warranty, tort, negligence, strict liability, and statute. They apply even if a limited remedy fails of its essential purpose, and even if a Released Party was told that a loss was possible.
Some jurisdictions do not allow these exclusions or limits. There, they apply only to the extent the law permits, and the Released Parties' liability is limited to the smallest amount the law allows. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Released Parties are not liable for:
- Indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages of any kind.
- Lost simulated profits, a reduced or reset Virtual Balance, a forfeited Invite Bonus, or any claimed value of a Position.
- A lost, lowered, delayed, corrected, or recalculated Leaderboard rank, or a lost chance to win or to place.
- Lost data, lost content, business interruption, lost time, or reputational harm.
- Any act, outage, policy change, or account action by a third party, including X, app stores, hosting and cloud providers, market data providers, and payment processors.
- Any claim that a different platform state, price, execution, or ranking would have produced a better result for you.
33.Indemnification
You will defend, indemnify, and hold harmless the Released Parties from any third-party claim, demand, proceeding, or investigation that arises out of or relates to your conduct in connection with the Competition. That includes all resulting damages, losses, settlements, fines, costs, and reasonable attorneys' fees.
SOAR may take exclusive control of the defense of any matter you must indemnify, at your expense. If SOAR does, you will cooperate with that defense and you will not settle the matter without SOAR's prior written consent. This obligation survives the end of the Competition.
The obligation covers claims arising from:
- Your breach of these Official Rules or of the SOAR Terms of Service at trysoar.com/terms.
- Your misuse of the SOAR App or website, including unauthorized access, scraping, reverse engineering, automated or scripted trading, exploiting a bug or a pricing error, or interfering with SOAR's matching engine or any other SOAR system.
- Multiple or duplicate accounts, self-referral, purchased or bot-generated invites, collusion, wash trading between accounts, or any other attempt to move your score or your standing by means other than trading.
- Your use of another person's identity, X account, payment details, or tax information.
- Anything you post, including on X, that relates to the Competition and that infringes, defames, or otherwise violates another person's rights.
- A dispute between you and another Entrant about invites, scoring, standings, or a Prize.
- Your violation of any law, regulation, or third-party right in connection with the Competition or a Prize.
34.Dispute resolution
Before starting any formal proceeding, you and SOAR will try to resolve the dispute informally. Send written notice to info@trysoar.com describing the dispute, the facts behind it, and the relief you want. Include your name, the email address on your Entry, and your Connected X Account handle. Neither you nor SOAR may start an arbitration or a lawsuit for 30 days after that notice, and both sides will negotiate in good faith during that period.
If the dispute is not resolved, you and SOAR agree that it will be settled by final and binding individual arbitration rather than in court. The arbitration will be administered by the American Arbitration Association under its Consumer Arbitration Rules then in effect, and will be seated in San Francisco, California. SOAR pays the filing, administrative, and arbitrator fees for any consumer claim to the extent the AAA Consumer Arbitration Rules require, and each party otherwise bears its own attorneys' fees and costs unless the arbitrator awards them under applicable law. The Federal Arbitration Act governs this agreement to arbitrate, including any question about whether it is enforceable. The arbitrator may decide the case on documents, by phone, or by video unless the arbitrator determines an in-person hearing is needed. An award may be entered as a judgment in any court with jurisdiction.
There are three exceptions. Either party may bring a qualifying individual claim in small claims court. Either party may also ask a court for injunctive or other equitable relief to stop actual or threatened infringement or misuse of its intellectual property, the SOAR App, or the Competition systems.
Third, nothing in these Official Rules waives, limits, or sends to arbitration any claim for public injunctive relief. A claim for public injunctive relief is excluded from the agreement to arbitrate and from the waiver below, and may be brought in court under "Governing law and venue". If a court decides that this exclusion is unenforceable, or that a claim for public injunctive relief must nonetheless proceed in arbitration, that claim alone is severed and proceeds in court, and every other part of this section stays in full force. Litigation of a severed public injunctive relief claim may be stayed until any arbitration between you and SOAR is complete.
You and SOAR each waive the right to a jury trial. You and SOAR each waive the right to bring or take part in any class, collective, consolidated, or representative action about the Competition, and the arbitrator may award relief only to the individual party seeking it. If this waiver is unenforceable as to a particular claim or a particular request for relief, that claim or request proceeds in court under "Governing law and venue", and the rest of this section stays in force.
You may opt out of arbitration and of the class action waiver. Send written notice within 30 days after your first Entry, to info@trysoar.com, or by mail to the address SOAR provides on request under "Sponsor and these Official Rules". Your first Entry is the date your Entry is complete as defined in "Definitions", as shown by SOAR's records, and not the date you joined the waitlist or redeemed an Invite Code. The notice must give your name, the email address on your Entry, your Connected X Account handle, and a clear statement that you are opting out of the arbitration agreement in these Official Rules. Opting out does not affect your Entry, your standing, or your Prize eligibility, and it does not change any other part of these Official Rules.
Any claim arising out of or relating to the Competition must be brought within one (1) year after the claim arises, or it is permanently barred, unless applicable law does not allow that period to be shortened.
35.Governing law and venue
These Official Rules and any dispute arising out of or relating to the Competition are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of laws rules.
For any claim that is not subject to arbitration, or if the arbitration agreement above is held unenforceable, you and SOAR consent to the exclusive jurisdiction and venue of the state and federal courts located in San Francisco County, California, wherever in the world you live. Each party waives any objection to that forum based on inconvenience or lack of personal jurisdiction.
If the law where you live gives you rights that cannot be waived by contract, nothing in these Official Rules limits those rights. That includes any mandatory consumer protection right you hold under the law of your country of residence.
36.Severability, waiver, changes, and how to read these rules
These Official Rules, the SOAR Terms of Service at trysoar.com/terms, and the SOAR Privacy Policy at trysoar.com/privacy are the entire agreement between you and SOAR about the Competition. They replace any earlier or contemporaneous statement, understanding, or representation about it. Promotional Materials are summaries only. If any of them conflicts with these Official Rules, these Official Rules control.
SOAR may update these Official Rules to correct errors, close abuse, or clarify scoring. The current version is always the one posted on this page, and SOAR will change the last-updated date when it makes a change. SOAR will also notify Entrants in the SOAR App, and by email to the address on the SOAR account, of any change that affects scoring, eligibility, Prizes, or the Competition Period. A change does not apply retroactively to a period that has already been certified. Continuing to participate after a change is posted is your acceptance of it. If you do not accept a change, stop participating and email info@trysoar.com to have your Entry removed.
If any provision is held invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, that provision will be limited or removed to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions stay in full force. SOAR's failure to enforce a provision, or any delay in enforcing it, is not a waiver of that provision or of any other. A waiver counts only if SOAR gives it in writing, and it applies only to the instance it names.
In these Official Rules, "including" means including without limitation. Headings are for convenience and do not affect meaning. All periods are counted in calendar days unless stated as Business Days, and every deadline, cutoff, posting time, and payment date is measured in the time zone stated in "Definitions".
"Release of claims", "No warranties", "Limitation of liability", "Indemnification", "Dispute resolution", and this section survive the end of the Competition. The Released Parties may enforce the provisions that protect them and are intended third-party beneficiaries for that purpose. Your Entry is personal to you and you may not assign or transfer your Entry, your standing, or a Prize. SOAR may assign these Official Rules and its rights under them, including to an affiliate or successor entity.
37.Winners list and contact
SOAR will post the top three finishers in the certified Final Standings on this page. Winners are identified by Connected X Account handle or display name, not by legal name.
To request a written winners list, email info@trysoar.com with the subject line "Winners List" within 90 days after the Grand Prize is paid.
For questions about the Competition, these Official Rules, your Entry, or Prize delivery, contact SOAR at info@trysoar.com. Formal legal notices, including arbitration notices and opt-outs, may be sent to info@trysoar.com, or by mail to the address SOAR provides on request under "Sponsor and these Official Rules".
