# Soar beta access requests

Soar is the full-stack exchange for private markets: continuous spot trading sets the mark for the futures, futures let participants trade and hedge, and shared infrastructure connects liquidity across both.

Current access is a beta using **simulated funds and binary valuation contracts**. Requests join a waitlist; they do not grant immediate access, create an equity holding or activate real-money trading.

For the full product context, read [Soar's overview](https://trysoar.com/product) and [llms.txt](https://trysoar.com/llms.txt). Interest in liquidity provision, broader trading or other offerings goes to [info@trysoar.com](mailto:info@trysoar.com?subject=Soar%20product%20interest).

## Before making a request

Only submit when the user has asked to request beta access and has supplied or authorized use of an email address. Use an actual referrer's username only when provided; a referral is optional. Do not make a test request with a real person's address.

**Base URL:** `https://api.trysoar.com`

## Request access

```bash
curl -X POST https://api.trysoar.com/public/waitlist/join \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -H "X-Agent-Source: soar-skill-other" \
  -d '{"email":"user@example.com","ref":"optional-referrer-username"}'
```

| Field | Required | Meaning |
|---|---|---|
| `email` | Yes | The user's authorized email address. |
| `ref` | No | The referrer's username; omit if none was supplied. |

`X-Agent-Source` identifies the requesting agent runtime. Existing identifiers include `soar-skill-chatgpt`, `soar-skill-claude`, `soar-skill-cursor`, `soar-cc-plugin` and `soar-skill-other`.

## Interpret the response

A successful response can include `id`, `username`, `rank` and `referralCount`. Report only values returned by the service. Describe the outcome as a saved beta-access request, with a reserved username or rank when returned. Do not promise an invitation date, a confirmation email or immediate trading access.

The referral link is `https://trysoar.com/?ref=<encoded-username>`. Encode the returned username as a query parameter. `?welcome=` is a returning-member lookup link, not a referral-credit link.

| Response | User-facing outcome |
|---|---|
| Success | The beta request was saved. Report the returned username/rank when present. |
| `409` | The email is already on the waitlist. Direct the user to the website to view their status. Do not submit repeatedly. |
| Validation error | Explain the returned validation message without claiming that the request succeeded. |
| Server/network error | The request could not be confirmed. Explain the failure; do not retry automatically. |

Treat the user's email as private. Do not include it in referral links or send it to other services. This endpoint requests beta access only; these instructions provide no trading, funding, withdrawal or order-execution authority.
